POSITION SUMMARY
Culture Engagement Specialist has diverse responsibilities that revolve around understanding and enhancing MPCA’s employee experience; to ensure a unified culture across all teams, this person coordinates training sessions, manages cross-office employee communications, and plans companywide events. On a broader basis, this role acts as an advocate for our employee team, serving as their eyes and ears.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Culture Enhancement
- Collaborates with leadership to develop and implement strategies to enhance our organizational culture.
- Conducts regular culture assessments to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations accordingly.
- Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure that the organization’s policies and practices are aligned with the desired culture; making recommendations for necessary adjustments as needed.
- Supports the development of initiatives, programs, and policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
e. Helps to develop and implement internal communication strategies to reinforce the company's culture, including regular updates, newsletters pieces, and social events.
2. Employee Engagement
- Conducts regular surveys and assessments to measure employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Analyzes feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
c. Supports the development and implementation of initiatives that enhance Employee Engagement and morale.
3. Employee Training and Development
- Collaborates with HR and department managers to identify training needs.
- Coordinates and facilitates training sessions to educate employees on company values, culture, and behavioral expectations.
- Provides resources and support for skill development and career growth.
- Supports efforts to foster a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement.
4. Company-wide Events
- Plans and organizes companywide events, celebrations, and activities that foster team cohesion and a sense of community.
- Coordinates town hall meetings, focus groups, and other forums to gather employee input.
- Ensures events align with the company's values and objectives.
5. Employee Wellness
- Coordinates with HR to promote physical and mental well-being through wellness programs and initiatives.
- Coordinates activities that support work-life balance and reduce stress.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Skill/Ability to:
- Proven experience in culture management, Employee Engagement, or related roles.
- Demonstrated understanding of DEI principles, best practices, and their application in the workplace.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills for delivering training and workshops.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative culture initiatives.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools is a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., HR, sociology, psychology, diversity studies) required.
- 2-3 years of experience in DEI, HR, or a related field required.
