Cultivation Technician/Grower's Assistant

Summary of Role

The Cultivation Technician/Grower's Assistant provides daily care of cannabis plants from planting to harvest. They will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes cloning, transplanting, watering, and providing nutrients. This position is responsible for assisting the Cultivation Manager in the daily operations as it relates to all plants in the facility as well as IPM.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist Cultivation Manager with all aspects of the cultivation process.
• Conduct plant maintenance on all aspects of growth cycle, including: Mother, Vegetative, Flowering
• Take-down and post-harvest * Assist with defoliation, pruning, and up-potting.
• Conduct irrigation maintenance.
• Maintain appropriate biosecurity measures.
• Clean and sanitize workspace per Company SOPs.
• Inventory management in conjunction with other cultivation staff.
• Assist Post Harvest with bucking and trimming if needed
• Assist with plant movements in accordance with Company SOPs and state regulations.

Qualification Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Must have knowledge in NETAFIM system and Aroya application.
• Previous experience in labor/general labor roles strongly desired.
• Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a scale.
• Ability to complete work in a timely manner and continually strive to increase productivity.
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures.
• Ability to stand for a long period of time and regularly lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work with a team as well as independently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends and/or holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a background check.
• Must have reliable transportation

Physical Demands

Must be able to see, hear, talk, sit, walk, push, pull, twist, lift, squat, climb a ladder, and stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-35lbs regularly.

Preferred Skills

Excellent time management skills, multi-tasking abilities and capable of organizing tasks within shifts. Ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus. High attention to detail. Extremely organized. Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting/

Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Create and maintain a proactive and positive environment. Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately while not overstepping the chain of command.
