Job Description
The Cultivation Associate is responsible for general plant care through the entire life cycle. Monitors and cares for plants on a daily basis as they progress from clone transplant until harvest.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs cannabis cultivation tasks including transplanting, plant feeding, defoliation, topping, flushing, foliar feeding, preventive spraying, waste disposal, crop inspection, and harvest preparation
- Monitors and records environmental factors including humidity, temperature, and CO2 levels
- Monitors plants for pests and pathogens
- Mixes nutrient solutions for plant feeding and records associated data
- Performs water, media, solution sampling and testing
- Maintains daily activity records and operations logs for all activities
- Maintains a clean and sanitized work space by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and organizing work areas
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- Must possess or obtain a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge
- Strong communication skills
- Basic organizational and time management skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- Metric and standard measurement knowledge
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of METRC and Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) compliance regulations related to cannabis cultivation
- Knowledge of cannabis cultivation nutrient requirements, planting mediums, lighting requirements, environmental requirements, soil growing methods, watering, container systems, hydroponics, temperature and humidity requirements, and drip irrigation
- Knowledge of beneficial and detrimental bacteria, plant diseases, insects, fungi, and related methods to manage cultivation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, stretch, walk, bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive motions, and carry boxes or items
- Ability to safely use and store chemicals including pesticides, fungicides, cleaning agents, and nutrient concentrates following manufacturer’s recommendations and/or SOPs
COMPENSATION DETAILS:
- Pay: $18.50-$19.00; actual pay will be determined based on qualifications
- Bonus eligible
- Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately; starting at 2 weeks per year.

- Retirement plans are available after 6 months of employment.
