VACANCY NOTICE:CTE Instructor - Welding/Manufacturing
LOCATION: Wooster High School

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ohio Certification Career Tech Education or willingness to obtain one;
• 5 years of industry experience in welding and/or manufacturing or a related field;
• Experience with AWS instruction preferred;
• Experience with CNC, lathes, Milling, and various forms of welding;
• Design and implement relevant curriculum
• Follow CTE Curriculum Standards utilizing input from the advisory committee;
• Instruct pathway courses for CTE pathway completion, incorporating appropriate industry-recognized certifications and training;
• Instruct students in appropriate job-seeking and retention skills;
• Develop, maintain, and conduct required program advisory committee meetings;
• Establish and advise a CTSO chapter;
• Assist in program promotion and with development of community awareness;
• Provide instruction that is appropriately paced and directed to specific occupational skills while accounting for individual differences in ability, motivation, and learning rates;
• Establish and maintain a suitable learning environment that promotes student growth and skills mastery and assures student safety;
• Guide students in making career-related choices;
• Effectively communicate with staff, parents, and agencies;
• Attend regular and special staff meetings and actively participate as a member of the academic team;
• Modify traditional modes of instruction to reasonably accommodate an individual's needs;
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment.
