- Operate CT scanning equipment to obtain high-quality images of patients' anatomy.
- Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Position patients correctly on the scanning table and ensure they are comfortable and properly secured.
- Administer contrast agents, orally or intravenously, as needed for enhanced imaging.
- Monitor patients during scans to ensure their safety and comfort, and to respond to any adverse reactions.
- Adjust CT machine settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to review images, identify abnormalities, and assist in patient diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and imaging results.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on CT equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Stay updated on advancements in CT technology and techniques through continuing education and training.
