The ICU Technician performs a variety of clerical, technical and patient care duties in the Intensive Care Unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Works cooperatively with staff and other departments in maintaining the highest quality patient care. The ICU Technician has direct contact with patients and exposure to infectious diseases is likely.
High school graduate or equivalent. Knowledgeable in medical terminology, particularly in the cardiac and telemetry specialty areas. Previous work experience in an acute patient care setting.
Basic computer knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Windows application. BLS-Provider biennially. Basic ECG interpretation certification, documented monitoring experience, or ACLS.
