Shift: Shift 3
Three 12-hour night shifts with every third weekend and holiday rotation.
Our bright and newly expanded Transplant Intensive Care Unit is a 20-bed specialty ICU that cares for pre and post abdominal transplant patients. Our team of CRITICAL CARE nurses, occupational and physical therapists, advanced practice providers (APNP or PA), hepatologists, nephrologists, and transplant surgeons partner to provide the highest level of care. We provide complex therapies such as advanced ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring and continuous renal replacement therapy to support our patients during critical illness; with a patient to nurse ratio of 2:1 or 1:1. Our team is passionate about providing exceptional care to every patient and their family.
Job Summary:
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Incumbents in the position prior to October 1, 2007, may substitute this educational requirement with the following statement - Ability to read, write and communicate complicated verbal and written communications at a level normally acquired through completion of a high school education.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:Completion of the Critical Care Tech course or equivalent within 6 months of date of hire.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required, otherwise must be currently enrolled in a nursing program and able to provide documentation from an accredited school for professional nurses indicating successful completion of the basic nursing course which encompass all of the criteria noted by the State of Wisconsin administrative code and a minimum experience of one acute care medical/surgical clinical rotation. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
