Job Description
SUMMARY
The Crisis Response Specialist will focus on outreach, validity in Crisis Response programming and curriculums, collaboration with juvenile justice partners, and juvenile justice specific trainings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Shadow & assist responders on crisis calls across all LANs in program.
- Outreach with Police Departments/Juvenile Justice entities across all LANs in program
- Shadow & assist with outreach across all LANs in program.
- Track data specific to referral numbers and partnerships for Juvenile Justice population
- A Call to Men curriculum training, oversight, and development in programming
- Oversee and ensure validity of services across all LANs in program.
- Develop and Participate in onboarding of responders across all LANs in program.
- Shadowing after hours to ensure validity of services.
- Collaborate with the Reporting Center program to meet participant and staff needs.
- Obtain Letters of Support (LOS) and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) from Juvenile Justice community partners annually
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BSW) required. Previous experience with at-risk youth preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must be available to work evenings and weekends and flexible in scheduling.
Will be required to transport clients in own vehicle.
Must be able to accept and incorporate constructive feedback.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Illinois driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Documentation verifying current automobile insurance.
