Intensive Community Outreach Services is hiring Crisis Counselors for its Residential Crisis Stabilization Center. This is an 8 bed facility that provides 23 Hour Observation and Residential Crisis Stabilization to adults who have experienced a behavioral health crisis. All shifts are being staffed for this new facility, so numerous positions are available. Shifts for day, evening and overnight are needed. Full time and part time positions are available.
QMHP rates start at $27 per hour. LMHP rates start at $35 per hour for residents/supervisees and $45 per hour for fully licensed candidates.
Staff must hold either an LMHP or QMHP credential from the Department of Health Professions. Both LMHP and QMHP staff are needed. LMHP-Residents or Supervisees are encouraged to apply.
Salaried and hourly positions are available.
Duties:
- Provide crisis counseling and support to individuals experiencing emotional distress or crisis situations
- Conduct patient assessments to determine immediate needs and appropriate interventions (LMHPs only)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to address specific mental health concerns
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Provide case management services to assist clients in accessing necessary resources and support
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to promote positive outcomes
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field with an active registration as an LMHP or QMHP with the Department of Health Professions.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Crisis Counselor or equivalent
- Experience providing clinical counseling services in an acute care setting
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills (LMHPs only)
- Ability to work effectively with adults with behavioral health diagnoses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
