- Work to assure quality and timely completion of snow and ice removal on sidewalks and walkways on assigned properties
- Operate Snow Removal equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Apply ice melt according to product and company guidelines.
- Identify problems at the work site and follow through appropriately.
- Communicate constructively with customers and supervisor.
- Participate in maintaining a safe and secure work environment for employees and customers at all times.
- Report any repairs or maintenance requirements needed on equipment to supervisor.
- Must be 18 years-of-age or older.
- have a positive attitude, patience, and good follow-through skills.
- willing and able to work with deicing materials.
- Must be willing and able to work long hours and overtime during a snow storm including holidays, weekends, etc.
- No experience required.
- Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.
- Driver's License Preferred, but not required
- RARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing, climbing ladders.
- OCCASSIONAL (up to 33%): stooping, kneeling, squatting, seeing distant, gripping, depth perception, color vision.
- FREQUENT (up to 66%): standing, walking, sitting, body twisting, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, climbing on/off truck, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs., balancing, climbing stairs, pulling, pushing, carrying, lifting, hearing-speech range, range of motion, reaching, reading.
- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): seeing, sense of touch.
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
