About Union Square Play
Union Square Play is a Play Space for infants, babies, toddlers, and their parents and caregivers. We are on a mission of making the first years of parenthood easier, more fun, and more communal—everything we do is with that mission in mind.
Our early childhood classes encourage children to explore, challenge, and develop their intellectual curiosity and understanding of their physical environment.
Position Overview - Duties & Responsibilities
The Crew Member will help ensure that all children, parents, and caregivers have an amazing and safe experience during their time at Union Square Play. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and fun environment for all guests
- Proactively welcome and engage guests as they come into the space
- Ensure Play Space equipment, materials, and supplies are always clean and neatly organized
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed
- Assist with setup, implementation, and break down of classes
- Help check in class attendees and facilitate orderly flow between classes and while they are occurring
- Assist guests with personal effects (e.g. stroller parking, organizing shoes, etc)
- Assist with birthday party setup, breakdown, clean up, and service
- Field and respond to parent and caretaker questions and proactively anticipate needs

Qualifications
- Should be able to stand, reach with arms, bend and stoop, kneel and crouch more than 50% of the time
- Be able to lift between 10 and 50 pounds more than 50% of the time.
- Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
- Weekday and weekend availability are a must
- Educational background in child development/psychology/behavior a plus
- Must be 18 years or older
Compensation
$18 per hour
