Form of workAlliance Catholic Credit Union is seeking an exceptional and experienced Credit Solutions Representative/Collector who thrives in a well-organized, fast-paced, and multi-task driven environment. This position will report directly to the Compliance & Risk Manager at our Farmington Hills location.
The ideal candidate will:
- Receives delinquency reports from the computer system and verifies the status of the accounts.
- Follows up on delinquent accounts by telephone, correspondence, and personal contact if appropriate, to secure a satisfactory resolution to the repayment problem.
- Keeps accurate and up-to-date activity reports on delinquent accounts.
- Performs collections efforts in accordance with Company policies and procedures and ensures they are legally compliant.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel.
- Ability to follow all BSA/OFAC policies/procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
A successful candidate will efficiently perform solution-oriented collection activities associated with various delinquent loan/share accounts, determining probable reasons for account status while ensuring the Credit Union's professional image is maintained. A high aptitude for understanding company policies, contract laws related to loan and share agreements, U.S. Bankruptcy Code and the Small Claims Court system. We seek candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two or more years of previous Collection or related experience preferred.
