HSBC Innovation Banking provides debt solutions to early stage, high growth and public companies in the technology sector. Our differentiator is a global footprint in 70+ countries as well as a well-rounded banking platform including investment and corporate banking solutions. We are looking to hire a Senior Associate who is passionate about the technology sector and innovation ecosystem. Ideally, you have experience in structuring and underwriting debt transactions as well as a keen curiosity about high growth companies in the enterprise, fintech, consumer, and climatetech sectors. You will be a critical member of a lean team and primarily focus on due diligence, deal structuring, and portfolio management as well as presenting with internal partners regarding the Innovation Banking division’s debt portfolio.
What you might expect on typical day:
- Supports deal leads with ad-hoc administrative tasks such as saving reporting to SharePoint / shared drives, updating internal trackers, etc.
- Observes on internal and external calls, takes notes, and demonstrates engagement and overall enthusiasm.
- Begins to develop an understanding of the sales and credit process.
- Collaborates with other analysts and associates to support cohort learning and development
- Actively invests time in building relationships across Credit Solutions team.
- Demonstrates awareness of HSBC and IVB Team values.
- Demonstrates interest in the Technology, Healthcare and Venture Capital industry.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $65,000 and $95,000.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
