About This Internship
The Arch MI Credit Risk Management department supports all units in identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling, and continuously reporting on the risks to which Arch MI is or could potentially be exposed. The Credit Risk Management department reports relevant risks to the appropriate risk committees within Arch MI, the Arch MI Board of Directors, and Arch Capital Group Ltd.
The intern will be responsible for the below:

• Attend orientation to learn about company culture, meet key personnel, and understand different areas within Credit Risk Management
• Assist with the preparation of reporting on key risk metrics throughout the organization.
• Assist CRM teams in new/ongoing projects, process improvement initiatives, and day-to-day job assignments.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Complete an internship special project.

Program Qualifications:
The standard qualifications of all Arch intern candidates are:

• 3.0 GPA.
• College level - current Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student.
• Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.
• Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Position Qualifications:
In addition to the above qualifications, the below are critical to your success in this internship:

• Undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science/Engineering or related fields.
• Proficient in MS Office product suite.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure while ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with SAS and SQL preferred.

Location & Work Arrangement

• This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home.
• This position is in Greensboro, NC.

Timeline
Arch summer internship positions will be posted from October 2023 - March 2024 and will be unposted when filled.
Pay
For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Greensboro, NC, the hourly rate is $22 to $30 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
