Credit And Collection Specialist

Ingram Content Group (ICG)is hiring a Credit and Collection Specialistto contribute to our team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville. The Credit and Collection Specialist performs cash application of customer's payments. Additionally, you will balance Accounts Receivable subsidiary ledgers in the computer system.  You'll perform collection efforts with customers and prepare monthly reports for management. Further, you will act as leadership support on the floor and handle customer issues that are escalated above Customer Care Representatives.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 5 years experience in Corporate Accounting or Accounts Receivable performing corporate accounting duties required
• Customer service experience required

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs application and reconciliation of customer payments ensuring all general ledger and subsidiary accounts are balanced appropriately.
• Prepares all cash deposits for any payment received directly at our office from customers.
• Performs weekly analysis of A/R Aged Trial Balance Report to ensure timely payments from customers maintaining budgeted DSO levels.
• Liaisons with A/P and Finance personnel within each school system to resolve any payment issues or concerns.
• Provide monthly reports to senior management on all delinquent accounts or possible payment issues.
• Manage the set-up process for all new accounts, which includes obtaining proper credit information, recommendation of initial credit limit based on supporting documentation obtained through credit references and Dun & Bradstreet reports, setting up any electronic-based payment processing where possible, and verification of bill-to and ship-to information.
• Perform annual credit review of all customers in accordance with company policy.
• Provide leadership support for all Customer Care Representatives; researching and resolving any abnormal issues that may arise within the department through direct communication with customers and publishers as needed.
