As a Credit Analyst, you will play a vital role in assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers and managing a portfolio of cash-flow loans. Your expertise in financial analysis and risk assessment will be instrumental in ensuring the stability and profitability of their lending activities. Credit Analyst Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough credit analysis on potential borrowers, including reviewing financial statements and assessing compliance with loan agreements and internal policies
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with borrowers, management teams and external lenders and investors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for internal review, highlighting key risks and opportunities
- Perform financial due diligence, including company and industry research, cash flow modeling and data analysis to evaluate creditworthiness
- Assist in preparing credit approval documents and present findings to relevant stakeholders
- Monitor the performance of assigned loan portfolios, identifying potential issues and recommending appropriate actions
- Stay informed about market dynamics and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and mitigate risks
Credit Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or economics preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, commercial lending or related fields
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial statement analysis and risk assessment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and financial spreading software
