Credentialing Specialist
We are looking for a candidate to add to our Team as a Credentialing Specialist. As a Credentialing Specialist at NextMed, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our healthcare professionals are properly credentialed, licensed, and compliant with all regulatory and organizational requirements. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, medical facilities, and internal teams to facilitate and manage the credentialing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare credentialing practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Credentialing Process Management:
•Oversee the entire credentialing process for healthcare professionals, including Radiologic Technologist, Surgical Technologist, and Nurses.
•Ensure all necessary documents, licenses, certifications, and training records are collected and verified.
•Collaborate with healthcare professionals and medical facilities to gather required information and resolve any discrepancies or missing documents.
Maintain state licensure for technologists and lithotripsy machines.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
• Stay current with all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements, such as CMS, TJC, and state-specific regulations.
• Ensure healthcare professionals meet and maintain compliance with all necessary standards.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures related to credentialing and compliance.
Database Maintenance:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing information in our database or credentialing software system.
• Track and manage technologist's expirations, renewals, and recredentialing processes.
• Generate reports as needed for internal and external audits.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, medical facilities, and internal teams to facilitate the credentialing process.
• Collaborate with HR, legal, and clinical teams to ensure seamless onboarding and compliance.
Quality Assurance:
• Conduct regular audits to ensure credentialing files are complete and accurate.
• Identify and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Continuously improve credentialing processes and maintain the highest quality standards.
• Oversight by the Director of Performance Improvement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare credentialing and compliance.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Have strong computer, typing, and data entry skills, including MS Word, Excel, databases or similar such as Google Docs and Sheets, etc.
- Proficiency in using credentialing software and databases.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
Pay: $19-$24 Per Hour
*Education and experience may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended
