Creative Operations Manager

Reports to: Brand Manager

Location: Remote, North America, East Coast preferred.    
 

Pens.com, a National Pen brand, is seeking a detail-oriented and exceptionally organized Creative Operations Manager with outstanding organizational skills to bolster our dynamic creative department. In this pivotal role, you will use your planning, organizational, and executional expertise to efficiently manage the workloads and utilization of our multidisciplinary creative team. Your responsibilities will extend to facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams and refining the creative process for optimal efficiency.

Reporting to the Brand Manager, you will actively participate in collaborative efforts to establish and enhance best practices and processes. Your primary goal will be to ensure a seamless flow of projects and requests, with a steadfast commitment to meeting or surpassing deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for resource allocation, a dedication to adhering to timelines, effective communication skills, and a strong emphasis on quality control.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Efficient Workflow Management:
    • Traffic and manage the lifecycle of diverse creative projects, ensuring seamless progression from initiation to completion. 
    • Identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to improve overall efficiency within the creative process.  
  2. Resource Allocation:
    • Assess the skills and availability of team members to allocate tasks effectively.
    • Proactively prevent resource-related bottlenecks by strategically assigning tasks and responsibilities.
    • Manage creative team resourcing, handle project timelines, and prioritize projects by working cross-functionally with creative and marketing leadership.
  3. Timeline Adherence:
    • Focus on strict adherence to project deadlines to meet the time-sensitive nature of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
    • Implement strategies to streamline processes and optimize timelines for enhanced efficiency.
  4. Communication Hub:
    • Serve as the central point of communication between various teams involved in a project, including creative teams, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to maximize communication, strategic alignment, and seamless execution. 
    •  Cultivate collaboration and minimize the risk of miscommunication by establishing and maintaining effective communication channels. Communicate project updates, timelines, and milestones to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle. 
  5. Quality Control:
    • Review project deliverables to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
    • Play a pivotal role in ensuring timely delivery of creative projects and productions while maintaining brand consistency. Align these deliverables with company and marketing department goals through rigorous quality control measures.
  6. Adaptability and Flexibility:
    • Navigate the dynamic marketing environment by adapting to rapidly changing priorities.
    • Ensure the team can pivot efficiently when required, maintaining high productivity levels in response to evolving project needs.
       

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in project management and/or traffic management within a creative or marketing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards. 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software; Jira preferred.

Pens.com is seeking to welcome a strategic thinker with a proven track record in a similar role. The range of the base salary for this role is $70k- $100k, plus bonus potential, accompanied by a competitive benefits package. Please note that individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
