Job description

Neato is a full-service Commerce Accelerator that helps major retail brands sell better on marketplaces. We make money by collaborating with brands as their exclusive retail partner on Amazon and in-turn provide a comprehensive suite of agency services at no cost. Our core competencies are marketplace management, marketing, advertising, distribution, brand control, and multimedia creative production all aimed toward quantifiable growth of marketplace sales channels. As a top 500 storefront on Amazon we help brands tame the hardest to control sales channels on the internet. As a data driven company, Neato finds solutions through analysis of consumer and market trends to mitigate risk to our partnered brands.

Neato is a well-capitalized late-stage start-up. We were recently ranked 39th Fastest Growing Company in America by Inc. Magazine and we are eager to grow our team with like-minded leaders looking to make a large impact in a rapidly growing industry.

The Opportunity

Neato is seeking a Creative Operations Director to play a pivotal role in the creative team. Reporting to and collaborating closely with Vice President of Marketing, you will be responsible for our Design, Creative, and Production departments. In this role you will be helping a team of exceptionally talented individuals reach excellent outcomes. Join our team and be a key contributor in the continued growth and success of Neato and our Partner's in the competitive online retail landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Design and Executive Leadership to drive creative alignment and decision making across the Creative and Production departments
  • Introduce and standardize operating models, processes, and practices that help our designers and creatives achieve exceptional outcomes, quickly
  • Accountable to the end-to-end Creative project from conception to delivery
  • Lead strategic design initiatives in partnership with design leadership peers
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Creative department, driving an evolution where the team can improve both the quality and turnaround time of deliverables
  • Oversee the execution of brand and marketing campaigns across brand, interactive design, video production, and photography
  • Facilitate collaborations between our Brand Studio, Video Production, and Design teams
  • Collaborate with the team and cross-functional partners to drive prioritization and staffing decisions
  • Mentor and guide your individual team members on our most complex projects, and help them achieve their individual growth goals
  • Be the Creative leadership liaison between ancillary functions like HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and Recruiting
  • Own and manage relationships with third-party agencies and freelancers, and facilitate these collaborations
  • Own and drive communications to keep the team informed and motivated

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience working in Creative Production, Design Operations, Design Program Management, or similar field
  • 4+ years of creating Creative departmental processes, operating models, SOPs, and ways of working
  • 4+ years of people management experience; ideal candidate will have experience managing managers across design, studio, and production
  • Experience working across both Brand and Product Design in a retail or ecommerce company
  • Results oriented. You hold a high bar for yourself and your team.
  • Skilled facilitator. You're able to operate at all altitudes within an organization-from driving team workshops to executive reviews.
  • A bias for action. You operate with a distinct sense of drive, and you help your team do the same.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity. When there is ambiguity, you create definition and understanding.
  • Sweat the details. You understand the details can make or break a project.
  • An optimist. You see the positive in situations and encourage others to see it too.
  • Culture builder. You develop a sense of team camaraderie and connectedness.
  • Mentor for your team. Your team learns, grows, and becomes better versions of themselves by working with you.

What We Offer

  • A unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, innovative company and make a lasting impact on our success
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, and unlimited (and encouraged) PTO
  • A vibrant, collaborative work environment with a strong company culture and commitment to employee growth and development.
