Crane Operator Overview:

As a Crane Operator, you'll be at the helm of hydraulic or lattice boom cranes, hoisting materials and equipment with expert skill and finesse. Crane Operator Pay Range:

  • $35/hr
  • Paid* WEEKLY*

Crane OperatorEssential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate carry deck, rough terrain, or conventional crawler cranes to lift material and equipment.
  • Move the crane on site using steering mechanisms or control devices.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, ANSI, and company regulations pertaining to the safe operation of cranes and the safe handling of material or equipment.
  • Perform and record daily, weekly, and monthly crane inspections.
  • Familiar with site specific job requirements and ensure the crane follows the required standards.
  • Follow directions by hand signals or radio communication.
  • Make emergency adjustments to drums, brakes, etc. and assist with major repairs as necessary.
  • Assist in assembly, disassembly and loading of crane components as necessary.
  • Ensure all below the hook attachments follow OSHA, ANSI and company regulations and are of sufficient strength to safely accomplish any lift.
  • Ensure ground conditions can support the crane and load in all operating quadrants.
  • Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC policies.
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Crane OperatorQualifications:

  • Minimum of two years’ verifiable experience as a hydraulic or conventional lattice boom Crane Operator at a construction site is required.
  • NCCO or equivalent third-party certification is required and must be maintained.
  • Current physical examination documentation is required and must be maintained.

Crane OperatorPhysical Demands:

  • Vision must be a minimum 20/30 Snellen in one eye and 20/50 in the other, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must possess the ability to distinguish colors, regardless of position.
  • Must have adequate hearing, with or without hearing aid.
  • Must have sufficient strength, endurance, agility, manual dexterity, coordination, and speed of reaction to meet operation demand.
  • Must not be subject to seizure, emotional instability, dizziness, or loss of physical control.
  • Must have normal depth perception and field of vision.
  • Must be able to lift more than 80 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to work overtime hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations and a noisy/dusty work environment.
  • Must be able to work around high voltage electromagnetic fields.

This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
