Job description

SUMMARY
The CQRM Coordinator under the direction of the Director of CQRM monitors the affiliate's compliance with government regulations related to PPSE's CQRM program, Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) affiliation requirements, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The coordinator will research available resources and coordinate implementation of this highly specialized and technical information with clinical, administrative, and support departments. A significant responsibility will be the coordination of the affiliate's implementation of CQRM transaction standards, privacy standards, and security standards.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs both Chart and Environment of Care audits per direction of CQRM Director.
Documents results and format results to assess trends and areas of improvement needed. Present analysis of audit/data trends to the CQRM Director and/or Leadership Committees or Groups.
Assists with orientation training.
Participates in CQRM meetings, takes minutes, and prepares data and handouts. Monitors and updates incident reports through AIMS. Works with CQRM Director to review and trend organizational-wide incidents and complaints.
Participates in subpoena and medical request process, including printing records for review of CQRM Director prior to sending, and maintaining the subpoena tracker.
Oversees Healthcare License tracker.
Data entry to comply with regulations as needed.
Policy assistance - content, format, tracking, and coordination
Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by the Director of CQRM. Serve as a resource for HCMs on regulatory compliance and Accreditation compliance
Serve as a subject matter expert and tester for changes made to PPSE's Electronic Practice Management and Electronic Health Record systems
Maintain and distribute the Clinic Policy and Procedure, Lab, OSHA, HIPAA, and Security Manuals.
Attend PPFA, CME and/or other affiliate meetings, as required.
Be forthcoming and truthful in responding to Alabama Department of Public Health, Georgia Department of Public Health and Mississippi Department of Public Health inquiries and requests for information.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Communicates effectively orally and in writing, with excellent presentation skills. Possesses strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and programs.
Able to travel to health center sites.
Knowledgeable in areas of health care compliance, organizational development, quality assurance, and fiscal operations.
Experience:
Regulatory Audit Experience 2+ years.
Medical Standards and Guideline audit experience a plus.
3-5 years in health care quality management and administration
Previous Planned Parenthood experience preferred
Skills:
Possesses strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and programs.
Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite
Knowledgeable in areas of health care compliance, organizational development, quality assurance, and fiscal operations.
Physical Demands:
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to satellite offices
Able to work occasional evenings / weekend
Able to travel a minimum of 20% to health centers in PPSE service area
Languages Spoken:
English required
