Job description

Pay: $21.00/hour (Bachelors)

         $22.50/hour (Masters)

Essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

Implementation

  • Consults with facility/department leadership to assess the needs of the program necessary to implement systems of improvement.  Informs facility supervisor(s) and CQI department supervisors of the findings.
  • Collaborates with facility/department leadership to develop implementation plans for systems of improvement in conjunction with facility supervisor(s) and CQI department supervisors.
  • Utilizes appropriate tools and implementation frameworks to accurately identify problems, develop metrics for monitoring, assess progress of implementation plan, evaluate achievement, and develop sustainability plans in conjunction with facility/department leadership.
  • Assists facility(s) in implementation of EBPs to ensure fidelity.
  • Uses Agency observation and feedback forms as directed to ensure implementation fidelity.
  • Assists with the identification and implementation of appropriate assessment tools to be utilized within the facility(s).
  • Assists in identifying and developing appropriate client intervention strategies to facilitate successful outcomes.
  • Assists facility employees with implementing intervention strategies.

Evaluation and Improvement

  • Researches, plans, and conducts reviews to evaluate practices and standards.  Makes recommendations based upon those findings.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of data capture systems.
  • Enters and maintains data in Research and/or CQI databases as deemed necessary by CQI department supervisors in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Compiles quality improvement data in an accurate and timely manner.  Ensures monthly, quarterly, and/or annual statistics are completed and distributed as directed by CQI department supervisors.
  • Evaluates program EBP proficiency achievement and its ability to sustain proficiency without intensive assistance.
  • Remains up-to-date with current research on effective interventions with offenders and helps disseminate this information.
  • Utilizes existing research and CQI reports for input in making program improvements.
  • Solicits stakeholder input regarding the facility(s) improvement and achievement.
  • Reviews and recommends revisions of program procedures to facility supervisor(s).
  • Assists with audit preparation with CQI department supervisors’ approval and meets with external auditors as needed.

Training, Mentoring, and Ongoing Coaching

  • Provides ongoing formal and documented education and training for employees in the use of EBPs (e.g., Core Correctional Practices, EPICS II, etc.).
  • Provides on-the-job coaching to employees.
  • Mentors and assists in developing proficiency in the use of EBPs with facility supervisor(s) and peer coaches in order to sustain effective use. 
  • Tracks progress in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Uses training registration system as directed by CQI department supervisors in order to ensure enrollment in proper, uniform trainings related to EBP.
  • Selects and implements the intervention strategies that best fit the characteristics of individual employees and facility(s) in accordance with professional development.
  • Conducts training on the use of EPBs in conjunction with Staff Development.  Reviews and updates trainings in conjunction with CQI department supervisors and Staff Development.
  • Evaluates employees’ implementation of EBPs as well as their overall progress and goal achievement.  Provides feedback to employees and communicates progress to facility supervisor(s) on a regular basis in an accurate and timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement, staff training/mentoring and/or Evidence Based Practices implementation preferred.  Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite and effectively complete data tracking.  Experience in database management, statistical software, and project management is a plus.  Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.
