What the day will look like
The Senior Accounting Operations Specialist is a member of the CoverWallet Accounting Operations team. You will be responsible for inquiries and research of amounts due for fiduciary funds. This will also include reporting on policy commissions and producer incentives. This role will be the main liaison with offshore teams, 3rd party vendors, carriers, and internal teams.

Essential job functions Responsible for payments of refunds, commission payables, and carrier payables including identification and resolution of premium discrepancies Timely reconciliation of balances and payments to agency bill carriers Timely reconciliation and follow up on balances due from direct bill carriers Responsible for carrier payable analysis and providing a resolution for outstanding issues Analyze information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile issues, and decompose high-level information into details to identify recurring imbalance drivers Point person for internal and external contacts for inquiries Partner with CoverWallet operation and product teams to resolve policy system and data input errors Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial controls Other responsibilities and enterprise duties as assigned Skills and experience that will lead to success
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Mathematics preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience Technical: Solid financial accounting and analytical skills Experience in researching and resolving reconciliation variances Advanced Excel, Google sheets, and database analytics Insurance Agency accounting experience preferred Professional: Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills Magnificent attention to detail, with a strong lean-in and roll-up your sleeves demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment Strong customer service focus
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $55,000 - $65,00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
