Job Summary:
Participates in the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum in a specified content area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicates effectively with students demonstrating respect and professionalism.- Accepts papers by uploaded document in Canvas when appropriate.
- Maintains accessibility to students enrolled in course.
- Is active within course forums and other related forums on the BT.
- Checks for email messages at least 3x/week (unless ill or on vacation).
- Responds within 3 business days to student email or telephone messages.
- Establishes set office hours at varied times (considering differing time zones) for phone communication with students.
- Is available during established telephone office hours for student communication.
- Communicates effectively with students demonstrating respect and professionalism.
- Participates in the annual Fall Faculty Meeting and Commencement
- Adhere to the elements of the Culture of Caring
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
National certification in specialty area(s)- Doctorate in nursing or related field preferred. Will consider applicants with a master’s degree or higher in nursing or related field who also have teaching experience.
- Experience in teaching and education preferred.
Reporting Relationship:
The Course Faculty reports to the Course Coordinator of the assigned course(s) and to the appropriate Program Director and/or Department Chair.
