FOH Counter Sales Associate

Pay Scale: 14/hr – 17/hr
Job Description:
Counter Sales Associate is responsible for working with customers on the floor and providing them with excellent level of customer service and knowledge. Associate is expected to provide backup for Floor Supervisor and Store Manager on the floor. It is important that the Counter Salesperson is capable of processing customer order quickly and accurately on the point of sale system. It is also expected that during slow time the Counter Sales assosciate will help to maintain a clean and efficient workspace and stock levels.
General Requirements:
- Work cohesively within the FOH team and the Warehouse team.
- Must be able to multitask and complete tasks with speed and accuracy.
- Must be able to adapt to a ever changing retail environment
- Must be able to learn systems and product through self-motivation, questions, and experience.
- Reliable and Hardworking.
- Must be capable of using or learning our POS system quickly. Moderate difficulty
- Optional. Bilingual would be preferred
Responsibilities:
Assist the inside sales team in the efficient processing of orders and customer service
- Process customer orders and assist customers on the floor.
- Assist customers with questions that they may have on product or application
Assist Stock and Warehouse Team with Restock of inventory
- There will be time where there is slow times and it will be expected that the Counter Sales Associate will help to restock and maintain areas based on the aisle maintenance sheet.
- The Counter Sales assistant role will be filled by the Counter Sales Associate when times are moderate to slow. Or we do not have a Counter Sales assistant available. The Counter Sales Associate will become a flex position.
Growth Expectations:
During a Counter Sales Associates tenier the expectation is that they will grow their product knowledge and knowledge of the systems in place. They will also improve as a salesperson within the construction industry making themselves the opportunity to pursue alternative positions within the company.
Training
- A counter assistant will be supervised and trained on the picking/packing processes for in-store/delivery.
- Provided adequate supervision and training on the POS system.
- Training on the product and application within the store.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
