The Ads & Marketing Legal team partners with Uber's fast-growing Advertising Business to take on novel challenges, offering strategic counsel to Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams; and partners with Uber's Marketing & Comms organizations to advise on Marketing Campaigns, Digital Media, Consumer Protection, and Advertising Law issues.

What You'll Do
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. What You'll Do
- Advise on issues arising from areas of law such as intellectual property, privacy, content regulation, consumer protection, and advertising.
- Provide legal advice to teams from the initial stages of product development to launch and from pitching ad clients to campaign flight.
- Work closely with cross-functional global stakeholders, including tax, finance, accounting, policy, and communications, to strategically advise.
- Minimum of five (5) years of legal experience with experience advising on marketing/consumer protection or privacy issues OR Minimum four (4) years, including +1 year Uber internal.
- J.D. and license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
- In-house Ads Legal experience preferred.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects at a time in an exciting, fast-paced environment, both collaborating as a team to stay in sync and working independently to get the job done.
- Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.
- Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with both business leaders and cross-functional partners, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others.
