At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating. We do this every day across Dollywood Resorts which includes over 600 rooms and 15 Food & Beverage outlets, all located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Our plan is to grow our resort footprint to over 1200 rooms across five resorts at Dollywood and to add other resorts to our overall company resort portfolio.

We are seeking a Cosmetologist who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand and our region.

We are seeking an individual who has the ability to bring the vision of the Dollywood Resorts to life. The recipe for the right Cosmetologist will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, mentor and motivator.
Facilitate a unique and memorable guest experience by performing excellent-quality spa service in a manner fitting the Dollywood brand. Work with highly collaborative team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Provide services to guests as your skills and license permit.
- Services include: Shampoo blow outs, cuts, color, event hair, manicures and pedicures as described in spa service menu.
- Provide excellent Customer skills and communication.
- Use proactive sales techniques, recommending and demonstrating retail product for each guest.
- Recognize guests and peers in a genuinely warm and friendly manner.
- Maintain supplies, promptly requesting inventory as needed.
- Ensure impeccable cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
- Attend mandatory department trainings and meetings, helping to facilitate topics as needed.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with coordinating education events for hair and nail services team.
- Assist with event planning/execution and special promotions.
- Help design hair and nail treatment protocols.
- Receive and organize retail and supply shipments as needed.
- Assist with development and facilitation of new-hire training plans.
- Coordinate food and beverage services for the Spa as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and guest information.
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties.

- Able to communicate effectively using standard English grammar and punctuation
- Able to tolerate various temperatures while working outdoors.
- Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid TN driver’s license and insurance.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job.
Required Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience.
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
- High level of proficiency in nail services.
- Additional skills such as aesthetics, massage therapy or makeup artistry are desirable but not required.
- Current Tennessee Cosmetology License Required.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug test.
