About Friendswood Test Facility
Our Friendswood Test Facility is located in southeast Houston, the nation's fourth largest city. Those who live and work in Houston will find an area rich in history, as well as opportunities for outdoor activities due to its proximity to scenic waterways, namely Galveston Bay, the San Jacinto River and Buffalo Bayou.
At our EMTEC Testing Facility, we provide R&D support for our three main businesses: Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses. We research, develop and deliver differentiated, high-impact, game-changing technologies and products, foundations of our competitive advantage. We focus on both long-term fundamental research and knowledge building as well as shorter-horizon commercial applications. Our time is spent mostly performing lab work and collaborating with research teams to refine concepts and fuel innovation.
What role you will play in our team
Your primary responsibility for this position will be working with research partners to generate high quality data to be used in determination of corrosion mitigation strategies in support of Upstream and Low Carbon Solutions initiatives for the company from our Friendswood Testing Facility in Houston, Texas.

About you
Skills and Qualifications
Abiltiy to be fit tested for Self Contained Breathing ApparuatusExperience handling H2S in a laboaratory environment
Experience with testing at elevated pressures and temperatures
Experience with benchtop analytical testing equipment
Ability to work on a team effectively
Bachelor of Science degree in a science or engineering field.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
Experience in operating high precision lab equipment effectivelyKnowledge of both batch and flow through testing apparatuses
Experience in troubleshooting laboratory equipment
Mechanical affinity
Ability to address testing priorities effectively
Familiarity with management of change
