The basic function of the Plant Services Supervisor is to provide continuous oversight for the execution of maintenance work, communicating any deviations to work schedules, ensuring any noted improvements to the process are clearly communicated, and necessary closure and reliability data promptly input for each job. This position will work closely with Production Maintenance Coordinators, Operational Specialists, and other Maintenance Supervisors to establish work priorities. This position will ensure that all area maintenance activities are executed in a safe, environmentally responsible manner, in complete compliance with LyondellBasell Standards and Specifications.

Resident Contractors: Scaffold Builders, Insulators, Laborers, Light Equipment Operators, Garage Mechanics, and Plant Facilities Personnel
Third Party Contractors: Facilities Service Providers
- Support the core values of the organization and direct the activities of Maintenance Department personnel through establishing expectations and maintaining a focus on safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost consciousness, reliability, and operations.
- Oversee a diverse work group including LyondellBasell, resident, and third-party contractor employees.
- Understand Maintenance and Operations Work Process (MOWP); utilize MOWP KPIs to drive cost down and manage the workforce.
- Respond as necessary to support reactive maintenance.
- Review job scope and work hours with the Production Maintenance Coordinators (PMCs) and assign work duties to the appropriate craftspeople.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills; exhibit excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ensure open lines of communication exist across plant departments and with all plant employees.
- Must be able to respond to off-hour emergencies.
- Conduct safety meetings as required.
- Participate in the development of weekly & daily work schedules; ensure the published schedule is executed as planned.
- Direct activities and work of third-party contractors assigned to the plant as required; provide performance feedback to third-party contractors and enter audit information into GAPS.
- High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required, good working knowledge of SAP and TRACK.
- Support the technician training and qualification process through oversight, review, and guidance of the training program.
- Provide management support for the development of, and adherence to, operational and maintenance procedures and supporting documents as required for safe, effective, and efficient operations.
- Responsible for maintaining records of change made to building standards and documentation of any updates to the structures and facilities.
- Responsible for compliance with Engineering Guidelines and Operational Excellence (OE) Standards.
- High School diploma or GED
- This position requires 10-12 years' experience in the mechanical maintenance field with strong supervisory and communications skills.
- Must have working knowledge of construction processes as well as knowledge of building code requirements.
- Must have experience in planning and estimating activities.
- Strong PC skills are required to allow the ability to manage data bases, spreadsheets, control costs and manage the maintenance budget for area.
- Must have ability to manage multiple priorities and function with minimal direct supervision.
- Must be able to adapt to and accept change, be flexible, and provide leadership to work groups.
