Corporate Trainer

When you join Suburban Propane, you become a part of a fast-paced and dynamic company that has been serving its employees and customers for over 95 years.  As a Corporate Trainer, you will be responsible for conducting company training and coaching. The individual in the position will develop, implement, and modify training programs to ensure effectiveness of programs delivered to field personnel.  Additionally, the individual will facilitate training events using adult learning principles/practices and supports and facilitates coaching initiatives using the SMART goal plan.

• Attains certification status in all required training disciplines and delivers training in various classroom formats, using relevant training support materials and tools
• Designs and maintains training materials to facilitate the development of skills required for effective employee performance that support Suburban Propane's vision and values
• Presents using established and effective training methods, techniques, and ideas
• Participates in the evaluation of training effectiveness, and works with others to take appropriate action to implement improvements
• Quickly masters training content and is resourceful in consulting subject matter experts and other resources to add to his/her content knowledge
• Assists in developing new training courses associated with the identification of skill gaps, new products or services
• Studies and develops skills to enhance the training experience; proactively seeks evidence of audience engagement and comprehension; adjusts training accordingly
• Sets up and maintains training environment
• Maintains accurate certification and coaching records

Extended hours required at times to support business requirements. 60% travel nationwide.

Salary range: $65,000 - 75,000 (dependent on experience)

• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent skills in Learning, Instructional Design, Business or related field
• Must have strong presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication
• Possess a strong attention to detail and self-editing skills
• Possess strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work with multiple applications to support coaching responsibilities such as call recording applications, HRIS programs, etc.
