The Corporate Services Intern will primarily work with the global Environmental Sustainability team. The Intern will support the development of the existing sustainable procurement practices and procedures to ensure responsible sourcing with key suppliers and the procurement teams.
Corporate Services Intern - Sustainability
The Global Sustainability Intern will support Parexel's environmental sustainability program. The Sustainability Intern will work with the Corporate Services team to manage and continue to develop the existing sustainability practices and procedures in the areas of Real Estate Management, Procurement and Travel to ensure responsible sourcing, minimize energy consumption, and reducing emissions from travel and car fleet.
The Sustainability Intern will work with the Sustainability Coordinator on the collection of necessary data for the Ecovadis rating submission and annual CDP submission.
Finally, the role will act as an agent for change management by creating awareness of the sustainability program's key objectives. This person learn how to best educate global employee force on sustainability concepts, frameworks, and sustainable behavior and how the Sustainable program impacts our environment.
What do you get to do in this position?
- Coordinate the sustainability activities of the project team
- Coordinates data collection, requests for information, and manages the activity tracker for the annual Ecovadis and CDP data submission. Ensure that entry for annual submissions on ratings and public disclosure data are processed on times and followed appropriately
- Oversees and monitors the development of deliverables to meet 2030 sustainability goals
- Participate and collaborate in regular project team meetings on sustainability initiatives and ensure sustainability goals and projects are aligned.
- Serve as cross functional department liaison to the Parexel employee force for sustainability-related programs, projects, policies, challenges, ideas, and issues. Engage with managers, to develop, implement, and manage Parexel's sustainability solutions.
- Work with facilities management and local facilities operations team on energy, waste and water conservation measures including green building elements for existing facilities.
Qualifications
Passion for Sustainability
Current student studying Political Science, Environmental Studies, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Finance.
You must be currently studying at a university at either undergraduate or graduate level, graduating in 2024 or 2025.
