Our Mission

As a growing, diverse team with backgrounds in technology, entrepreneurship, finance, and investing, we are actively seeking a talented Corporate Partnerships Associate to focus on expanding, maintaining, and managing our sales pipeline and growing our global customer portfolio. This position is based in Sunnyvale, California and will be working with the team of Plug and Play focusing on East Asia practice. Corporate Partnerships Associates must be personable, professional, and have good sales instincts. The ideal candidate will love making connections, conversing, and selling. This role develops and expands strong relationships between Plug and Play and corporations, building a robust pipeline of partners spanning 20+ industry verticals like Energy, Real Estate & Construction, Mobility, and Travel. The role also provides the unique opportunity to collaborate with top global executives and entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities

After understanding inside out the PNPTC’s investment and innovation process as well as our value proposition to large corporates, this professional will have the following responsibilities:

• Identify, qualify, sort, and track leads (using Salesforce CRM)
• Create and prioritize target account and contact list
• Act as the subject matter expert on Plug and Play's innovation platform
• Research new prospects through various channels (web, articles, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Research and document relevant contact information for existing leads/keeping contact information updated
• Profiling of strategic accounts and identifying key individuals
• Researching and obtaining business requirements and presenting solutions to start the sales cycle
• Diligent and considerate follow-up cycles with prospects
• Analyze results and creatively consider new approaches that could improve the effectiveness of sales initiatives
• Work with sales executives on global opportunities that help drive revenue growth
• Maintaining and growing basic industry knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in business or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
• Highly motivated and committed, entrepreneurial sense, strong self-drive, and able to work with a global team in different time zones
• Team player and with self-initiative
• Positive and open mindset, energetic, strong willingness to learn and improve
• Analytical character with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Language requirements: Fluent English and Japanese.
