Job description

The Corporate Human Resources Manager is involved in a variety of Human Resource functions with an emphasis on employee relations, policy creation and interpretation, recruitment, and employee training and development.  This role forms a strong partnership with the corporate team as well as the Human Resources hospital business partnership team. The Human Resources Manager provides expert and objective advice, coaching, and counsel to our corporate management team and interacts with corporate personnel in reference to all aspects of Human Resources. In addition, this role facilitates organizational development, engagement, and communication, in conjunction with the organization’s strategy. 


  • Oversees the Human Resources Associate Generalist, Facilities Administrator, Senior Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist, and Development & Training Specialist
  • Leads corporate Human Resources, including corporate employee engagement and retention plans and activities  
  • Partners with managers to resolve business issues including employee development and counseling, compensation, communication and compliance of employment regulations, and training/development needs 
  • Facilitates the performance process and affiliated compensation process with the compensation and HRIS team, communicates budgets, manages personnel action changes in the HRIS system 
  • Works with Managers on establishing disciplinary procedures and employee documentation, including developing performance improvement plans, providing counseling, performance documentation and problem resolution.    
  • Works in conjunction with other HR team members on overarching compliance/policy projects and other initiatives to weigh in on overall strategic objectives, policies, needs, and corporate best practices.   
  • Establishes best practices, facilitates policy development and interpretation, communicates Company expectations 
  • Evaluates procedures and processes, drives process documentation and champions methods for improvement, facilitates implementation 
  • Assists with the development and training facilitation for management and employee population, including the coordination of LMS courses, manager payroll training, and clinic handbook documentation 
  • Manages communication and compliance of employment regulations 
  • Creates and evaluates analytical reporting, defines and measures corporate employment information and trends  
  • Oversees job description creation, facilitates benchmarking with compensation team; initiates corporate position recruitment, facilitates headcount/budget approval 
  • Drives communication and engagement at the corporate level and facilitates the training and performance initiatives for corporate personnel  
  • Facilitates the corporate performance process, including setting objectives and mapping career paths 
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field preferred or requisite experience

  • 7+ years of previous Human Resources experience, with demonstrated emphasis and success in employee relations and training 
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing direct reporting teams 
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law including state and federal statutes, including equal employment, FMLA, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation 
  • Previous experience working with dispersed workforce, multi-state entities or a multi-state environment is a plus 
  • Prior experience facilitating training and development programs; experienced in talent acquisition best practices and protocols 
  • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills are a must, including the ability to present complicated information in a clear and straightforward manner 
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to autonomously achieve results  
  • Must be able to respond to manager questions in a pleasant, timely, and easy-to-understand manner and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.  Possesses a strong ability to influence the actions of others.   
  • Good multi-tasking and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines 
  • Proactive mindset with an ability to solve problems, research and suggest new ideas, solutions, and drive automation   

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time 
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, supplies, and office machinery. 
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with managers at remote locations using email, computer, and phone. Must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations.  
  • Occasionally moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 15 pounds 
  • The person in this position frequently communicates and collaborates with co-workers and business partners both remotely and in person 
  • Frequent keyboarding/use of computer for data entry

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Adept and experienced in Payroll/HRIS systems and reporting 
  • Experience in iCIMS, Salesforce, LMS and HCM Enterprise systems is a plus  
  • Strong presentation skills
