The Corporate Development Analyst supports the assessment, qualification, and execution of the mergers and acquisitions process. The analyst will work in close partnership with Corporate Development leadership, and project teams, that generally include personnel from various functional business departments and third-party advisors. This position will regularly interact with all levels of management, produce objective analysis, facilitate discussions, and create and deliver executive-level materials to senior leadership and board of directors.

  • Performs market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets. Organizes the prospective deal pipeline. Facilitates introductions between Champions Group and sellers. Compiles prospect records and information. Manages the database of researched companies. Develops broad knowledge of the home services industry, the key participants, consolidation trends, and performs competitive analysis.
  • Builds financial valuation models. Participates in the due diligence process. Performs detailed financial and operational analysis. Develops a deep understanding of deal-related situations. Prepares reports and memorandums communicating potential value, risks, opportunities, and synergies. Creates final management presentations. Supports deal closure process.
  • Serves as project coordinator on the post-acquisition integration process. Tracks progress on key initiatives, facilitates meetings and communication, and ensures all incorporation tasks are completed on schedule and as needed.
  • Leads other strategic projects from inception to implementation, including defining scope, seeking input from key stakeholders, financial modeling, and project planning, while driving positive results.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or similar analytical field plus 2+ years of experience in Corporate Development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or similar analytical roles required.

  • Time Management: Able to track and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with several simultaneous projects. Ability to operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Communication: Able to effectively persuade and influence both entrepreneurial leaders and traditional leaders. Able to read, write and communicate professionally and effectively across diverse cultures. Able to present information and respond to questions with people from many different disciplines. Comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
  • Reasoning Ability: Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively deal with ambiguity. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of data/instructions in numeric or diagram form with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Math Ability: Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Technology Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Able to create and modify PowerPoint presentations for professional presentations.
Work Environment

This job generally operates in a clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled professional office environment with minimal physical hazards and noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc. Periodic overnight or day trip travel as well as the ability to tour worksites will be necessary for this position based upon the supported business units.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, drive, and use hands and fingers. The employee is occasionally required to reach, stoop and kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
