- Manage numerous and varied legal disputes in multiple jurisdictions
- Actively engage in all facets of case management, including investigation, assessment, strategy, and resolution
- Supervise, direct, and collaborate with outside counsel, including case strategy, motions practice, discovery, and trial preparation
- Assist with outside counsel guidelines, developing budgets, matter staffing, and developing alternative fee arrangements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws
- Assist with other legal matters including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, agency investigations, and other issues as they arise
- Provide clear legal advice and practical business-focused solutions while preserving and protecting the Company’s integrity and reputation
- Other duties as assigned
- J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school with a strong academic record
- Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience
- Combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred
- Insurance defense experience preferred, along with a working knowledge of claims handling and coverage disputes
- Admission to a U.S. bar (Colorado preferred)
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work well independently and on a team
- Excellent judgment, particularly in determining the significance of legal matters in tandem with business objectives
- Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels throughout the Company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to the specific intended audience in a way that is clear, concise, and persuasive
- Ability to embody and project both confidence and humility
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. - Base salary range of $100,000 - $150,000; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
