Responsibilities:
Position Summary:

Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Researches, assesses and purchases multiple commodities and services.
  • Develops and improves purchasing policies and processes.
  • Creates and manages requests for information, quotations, and proposals (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
  • Reviews supplier contracts to ensure that desired product and service quality and price ranges are met.
  • Obtains commodities and services from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
  • Studies market trends, interviews vendors and recommends sources of supply.
  • Analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends suppliers and schedules deliveries.
  • Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation.
  • At higher job levels provides leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group and may occasionally act as a lead or first level supervisor.
  • Participates in the financial planning and forecasting process for Corporate Procurement savings goals.
  • Collaborates with colleagues at other B. Braun locations across the global regions.
  • Communicates with site procurement at the manufacturing plants regarding areas for potential overlap.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Experience with MS office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • SAP/Ariba experience preferred
  • Requires basic knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Works under direct supervision and from detailed verbal and/or written instructions. Uses established procedures to accomplish assigned task.
  • Some degree of judgment required in resolving problems based on experience.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Required:
  • Associate's or technical degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 0-02 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Secrecy and invention agreement and non-compete agreement, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
