Overview
Coordinates, administers, and controls corporate financial close. Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accounts. Prepares ad hoc reports with variance analysis for management. Reviews, analyzes, and interprets financial and budgetary reports.

Responsibilities
- Prepares a variety of documents, reports and records and discusses the financial results with management.
- Responsible for posting to, and maintaining, various ledgers, registers, journals and logs, including the General Ledger, analysis of expense accounts as well as balance sheet accounts, following established accounting practices.
- Reconcile and prepare complex entries related to revenue recognition, leases, acquisitions, etc.
- Makes correcting journal entries as assigned and recommends accruals and adjustments as needed.
- Prepares reconciliation and monthly financial analysis in written form.
- Prepares audits requests, financial statements and varied fiscal reports.
- Assists with monthly and year-end closes by processing journal entries and reconciliation.
- Provides technical support to internal and external auditors.
- Performs internal audits of general ledger accounts in assigned areas.
- Analyzes financial information and prepares reports as assigned.
- Review and approve accounts payable checks to ensure proper disbursement of funds.
- Review and approve payroll registers to ensure proper disbursement of payroll and accurate financial statement recording.
- Analyze and perform financial statement analysis and accruals for month-end financial package to ensure proper financial statement representations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance coupled with 8+ years of finance/accounting experience OR Master's Degree, 5+ years of accounting experience
- Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Access, and 10-key by touch
- Government Contract experience
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US Person under US export laws or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license. A US Person includes a US Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, refugee or asylee.
Preferred:
- 8+ years' work experience with a public accounting firm in the audit discipline
- Experience with (ERP) systems and environments
- Ability to be proactive, decisive, and motivational
- Knowledgeable in internal control and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent problem identification and solving skills
- Experience with Manufacturing environment
Salary Range: $107,600 - $141,230 annually. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well business results.
