Position Title: Corn Sorter

Location: Rushville, IN 46173
Expected Duration: 6+ Months

Pay Rate: $15.89/hr on W2

Estimated Start Date: 8/20/2024

Position Description

• This is a temporary position that will start around the first of September and potentially last through the end of October.
• Responsibilities include overseeing corn sorting at individual sorting conveyers. Sorters will play a large role in the dehusking process by determining good versus bad quality corn, distinguish defects and appropriately remove product from conveyor belts.
• Oversee corn sorting at individual sorting conveyers.
• Pick apart good versus bad quality corn on the cob. Distinguish defects and remove product from conveyer belts.

Notes:

• Long periods of standing or sitting (some stools provided)
• Climate controlled environment
• Loud - would need ear protection
• Spanish speaking workers okay to hire.

Dress Code:

• Must have closed toe shoes. Steel to/composite toe are not requirement
• Long pants (no capris)
• Short sleeve shirts are fine.
