2nd – Monday to Friday; 3pm to 1:30 am (Fridays every other week)
Pay: $20.00 per hour. Occasional (OT). Additional positions could pay even more for additional experience!

Overview
Masonite is hiring for a 2nd shiftCore Saw Operator. Core Saw Operator will highlight and identify core that requires cutting on a printed schedule. Measure and set up core to cut to width and length based on chart specifications. Core Saw Operator must know all core components and door stile/rail construction specifications. Must be able to hold and cut up to 2 core at a time. Core Saw Operator will read a tape measure to cut to 1/32 of an inch, validating accuracy of core before and after cuts. Must maintain correct count keep in order of the production schedule. Cut back floor report completed daily for inventory adjustments. Core Saw Operator will change saw blades, be certified in lock out/tag out, and use small tools.

What you will do:
- Read, interpret production schedule.
- Advanced fractional math calculations and configuring core size according to stile/rail specifications.
- Perform visual quality checks.
- Preparation and cleaning of saw.
- Set up machine for use in cutting core.
- Manually lift/slide/flip core materials (max 80 lbs.)
- Bending, twisting, pushing, pulling.
- Standing for long continuous hours.
- High mental attention to detail. Intense degree of concentration to successfully perform the job.
- Communicate professionally and effectively to support product flow through plant.
- Can expect cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. High core dust environment.
What you will need:
- Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Advance knowledge of door configuration specifications (rails/stiles) and correct sizing of core.
- Reading a tape measure/calculating fractional math.
- Apply safety procedures, order tracking process and documents, all sizes and configurations.
- Set up and operation of Core Saw, as well as cleaning.
- Read instructions list as well as charts and diagrams.
- High degree of accuracy with little to no supervision.
- Self-motivated in a high-output environment.
