Job Responsibilities:

• Works without risk or harm to self or others
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures.
• Safely operate both on and off-road vehicles.
• Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Recognize, control, and communicate safety or environmental hazards.
• The primary duty will be logging diamond drill core with an emphasis on recording low-sulphuration, disseminated epithermal Au/Ag deposit hosted in felsic volcanics and metamorphosed sedimentary rocks.
• A geological interpretation on paper section after for each hole logging is completed.
• Provide drill shutdowns and line ups when survey team is not available.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation's goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
• Assist with core and RC chip logging activities, geotechnical CORE LOGGING, drill rig supervision and geological interpretation of logged data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2 years or more experience CORE LOGGING and sampling experience
• B.S. in Geology, required
• Knowledge of siliciclastic depositional environments
• Knowledge of low-sulphuration, disseminated epithermal Au/Ag deposit hosted in felsic volcanics and metamorphosed sedimentary rocks
• The individual should demonstrate a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. throughout the day
• Previous mining experience preferred
• Compile and interpret mapping and assay information in 3-D software such as Leapfrog and correlate it with existing models
• Ability to work independently and also as a member of a team
• Surface MSHA is preferred
• Requires a valid driver's license
