Core Department Assembler

Position Title: Core Assembler (3) Steel cutter/Stacker

Department: Core Department

Reports To: Core Department Supervisor

Overall Responsibility:

• Operate the steel cutter and cutting steel according to spec. requirements.
• Assemble Transformer legs and Reactor yokes according to the unit specifications.

Task and Responsibilities:

• Set up the steel cutter(s) to cut core steel according to the spec.
• Unload the steel cutter as required.
• Stack the Transformer legs and reactor yokes according to the spec.
• Check quality and label each leg/yoke.
• Stage leg/yoke in designated location for the next process required.

Competencies Requirements:

• Attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to use a square, tape measure, hand and power tools.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and work packet.
• Positive self-motivated attitude.
