Copywriter Intern

As a Copywriter Intern, the ideal candidate is creative and detail-orientated with a strong grasp of linguistics, word-association, and grammar. This role will assist with crafting various language to convey thoughts, concepts, strategies, and content that further the agenda of JDA's clients and our agency network. This candidate must be fluent in the English language and will work closely with other interns, producers, copywriters, and design team members.

JDA is fast-paced, and the agency workload is ever-changing. The ideal candidate will be self-confident, well-rounded and eager to produce new and great content. Establishing trustworthy relationships with the team will be essential in meeting expectations. Key Responsibilities

• Become a voice of the agency through creative writing and content development
• Day-to-day fulfillment of a variety of copywriting needs
• Edit and proof client and agency deliverables

Requirements

• Currently working toward B.S./B.A. degree in Journalism, English, Communication, or a related field
• Demonstrate knowledge of brand, brand systems, advertising, and marketing strategy
• Eager to continue expanding knowledge to include thoughts, concepts, and strategies critical to our clients
• Effective communicator and team-first mentality

Required: Candidates must submit a portfolio or writing samples with application.

Location: JDA Worldwide, Downtown Indianapolis – 135 N Pennsylvania St. 25th Floor

Duration: 10 weeks (June 3rd – August 8th)

Hybrid Schedule: Interns are expected to report to the office every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 9am-3pm for the duration of the internship. Work outside the office is also expected to complete projects on time.
