Job description

Who We Are…

Drive Social Media is one of the fastest-growing advertising technology companies in the country. Born out of necessity to provide the best return on investment for our partners, Drive has developed a cloud-based advertising management platform to achieve better campaign results and transparency while improving advertising efficiencies to stimulate revenue growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced, creative, agency-minded Copywriter to join our team. This position will work as part of an agile team of digital marketing experts creating, and hitting brand-specific, dollar-driving goals for our partners.

Do you understand the value of the written word? Do you know how to transform ideas into persuasive campaigns for social and digital content? If you’re a grammar enthusiast, a multi-channelmarketing maverick, a homonym hawker, a pun pundit, and can spot a misplaced modifier from a mile away, then we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Execute copywriting and proofing of all assets and concepts - including digital advertisements, video storyboards, shot list, blogs, website copy, Pay Per Click (PPC) ads, and additional materials.
  • Craft value-filled, impactful social copy and driving engagement and ROI across client’s social channels.
  • The ability to flex your creative skills - concepts, ideas and writing, for a range of brands, and with each client’s voice in mind.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to interpret project briefs and develop relevant concepts into content.
  • Overcome client objections when a request is based on feelings and not data in order to stay on track to achieve our ROI goals.
  • Defend the Drive strategy and process without damaging the client relationship.
  • Ideate, conceptualize, and coordinate concepts with designers and videographers.
  • Present and explain creative concepts to clients.
  • Effectively and confidently communicate with a variety of clients; including marketing managers, directors, owners, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Research competitors to keep abreast of adversarial market trends.
  • Respond to feedback in a timely manner and work within tight deadlines.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1+ years of marketing or copywriting experience.
  • Creative, conceptual thinker with the ability to write in different styles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial minded, and organized.
  • Strong customer service and client relations skills.
  • Self-starter, positive attitude, and a sense of humor never hurts.
  • Can work independently and values collaboration and feedback.
  • A true creative leader that sets an encouraging tone for the team, a collaborative spirit and a willingness to roll up sleeves when necessary to ensure that work gets done.
  • Interest and enthusiasm for small and medium size businesses, and making a positive impact for their digital presence.

The Ideal Candidate Is

  • A people person with a genuine desire to move the financial needle for small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Highly creative, proactive and detail-oriented.
  • Undeniably self-aware, and able to remain objective and positive through workday trials and tribulations.
  • Skeptical but not a contrarian. Thought-provoking questions that encourage respectful discourse are how we continually grow, and uncover the whole story.
  • Not a box checker or a clock watcher. The CW’s goal should be to create content that drives a return on investment, not to scratch a task off a list.
  • Curious and tenacious.Skills & Experience
  • Real world experience as a Copywriter, or in related content creation field.
  • Exceptional communication skills; verbal, non-verbal, and written, with the ability to tailor a conversation or a request to each unique individual (clients and employees alike) to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Suite and working knowledge of Salesforce and TaskRay.
