Copy Editor

*** This is an in-person, part-time role in Parkersburg, WV.

The Copy Editor supports the editorial integrity of Woodcraft branded materials for corporate, stores, partners and vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain brand integrity through use of the Style Guide.
• Ensure consistent use of Registration marks ®, trademark TM and copyrights ©.
• Read and edit all new copy for catalogs.
• Provide proofing for catalog wraps, monthly tab (sales flier), all packaging, all national ads, emails, miscellaneous collateral, memos and other documents as requested.
• Write press releases, blogs and copy as requested.
• Ensure all copy has been completed, edited and formatted to meet production timelines.
• Update Crisis Communication Plan, Woodcraft History and Woodcraft Fact Sheet quarterly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from 4-year College or technical school or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to three years of related experience
• Solid understanding of Adobe Design and Creative Suite preferred.
