Re-Entry Program Coordinator
(Program For Individuals Transitioning From Incarceration)
Summary Description:
The Program Coordinator will oversee the recruitment, assessment, enrollment, training and successful placement of individuals returning to the community from Incarceration in the South Central CT Workforce area.
· Coordinates with area adult education and training providers as well as colleges to identify skills refresher and training programs aligned with in demand occupations.
· Works closely with the Business Services team. Assists in recruiting employers in target industries and occupations willing to hire and train eligible participants.
· Supervises and oversees project staff.
· Develops methodologies for evaluating progress on programs and grants.
· For any subcontractor establishes parameters to monitor performance, initiates program evaluation and tracks performance.
· Provides program documentation including data collection and report writing.
· Oversees and monitors grant financial status.
· Represents Workforce on committees and task forces as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Two to four years of related experience, preferably in workforce development, training, recruitment and placement functions.
· Experience working with previously incarcerated individuals a big plus.
· College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to interact with people of different races, ethnic, social and economic backgrounds, varying education and work experiences.
· Ability to supervise others
· Excellent communications skills: verbal, written, listening and presentation.
· Well organized; takes initiative.
