Overview /Objective
The Coordinator in this position is responsible for coordinating and assisting with all aspects of Player Benefits including the administration and communication of those Benefits negotiated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. In this role, the Coordinator is expected to deliver on the implementation, development and communication of Benefit Policies and Programs. This critical role will require strong relationship management, analytical and project management skills, and the ability to communicate and educate stakeholders regarding complex Player Benefit Plans.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the processes behind all Benefit Plans, including the Severance Pay Plan and Disability Plan.
- Respond to questions from Players pertaining to their Collectively Bargained Player Benefits.
- Responsible for oversight of NFL Player Benefits including input and peer review of correspondence to current and former Players.
- Renew and expand Programs under Former Player Life Improvement Plan.
- Serve as the Disability Initial Claims Committee member for the Disability Plan, which includes reviewing cases, maintaining decisions, and all administrative tasks.
- Support all aspects of Credited Season Cases, including review of cases, maintaining decision file, and all administrative tasks.
- Prepare and conduct presentations for Player Engagement, Legends and Club Programs including Rookie Programs, Transition Programs, Bootcamps, and other significant meetings
- Manage contracts and other administrative components of various Benefit Plans.
- Review, code and process Player Benefits' invoices and work to help implement new e-billing system. Coordinate with NFL Finance and vendors on invoice payments.
- Create NFL Legends' Benefits dashboards for distribution to Legends' community event participants.
- Manage data and information requests including Death Benefit information, and detailed Player Profiles for individual Players etc.
- Act as a liaison on Player Benefit issues for internal departments and external partners.
- Maintain decision files, CBA-related information, and other documents.
- Correspond with Club and Plan Office personnel on NFL Player Records requests.
- Participate in weekly and/or monthly update calls.
- Contribute to monthly Club communications.
- Coordinate open enrollment for insurance programs and coordination of grievance award notifications.
- Prepare, edit, proofread, distribute, copy, scan and file highly confidential memos and correspondence.
- Other projects as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three years related project management experience.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Ability to communicate a broad knowledge of Player programs and benefits to Club Executives, Active and Former Players, League office personnel and business partners.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and demonstrate exceptional judgment and trustworthiness.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work proficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Exceptional business writing, proofreading, typing, technical skills.
- Ability to stay focused and avert distractions and interruptions.
- Flexibility of daily schedule.
- The position may require work beyond standard business hours.
- Proficiency in Windows 10, advanced Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint skills, Adobe Acrobat, ECopy Desktop, Social Solutions

Salary / Pay Range

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
