Greenheart encompasses three main branches: Greenheart Exchange, Greenheart Travel, and Greenheart Shop.
The Account Management Department oversees program support for hosts of Department of State BridgeUSA programs (inbound) and Greenheart Travel (outbound). Programs supported may include Work & Travel, Career Advancement Program, Teach USA, J-1 High School, F-1, and Short-Term Programs. Specifically, the Program Coordinator will be responsible facilitating the participant placement process in coordination with partners, hosts, and staff, and serving as in-country support while participants are on program. Tasks vary by department and area of focus. Depending on the program, the Program Coordinator might be working with host organizations, host families, host schools, partners, participants, and the field network. Program Coordinators are expected to provide quality service, communication, and programming to all stakeholders with whom they engage.

The ideal candidate should be outgoing, organized, and flexible with changing priorities. They should have excellent customer service skills, time management abilities, and research skills. It’s imperative that they can relate to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. This person should be comfortable working hard, being self-directed and at ease communicating with many different stakeholders. They should also be motivated by program goals, while staying within the compliance perimeter and regulatory standards. In a fast-paced working environment, the ability to oversee multiple projects and deadlines is essential in this role.
Some things you might do as a Program Coordinator:
- Coordinate continued customer service efforts over the life of all accounts
- Meet all individual and shared departmental goals
- Contribute to program growth by continuously improving the quality and volume of placements at existing host organizations.
- Ensure quality service by maintaining regular, professional, and courteous communication with hosts and partners
- Conduct background checks and vetting of new host accounts
- Facilitate the interview process between hosts and future participants
- Assist with the planning and execution of virtual and overseas hiring events
- Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings. Engage with team members by offering suggestions and collaborating on projects and strategies.
Some qualifications you should have:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree or equivalent experience highly preferred
- Experience managing data and working with databases
- Customer service experience is a must, including proven experience in resolving conflicts and managing sensitive situations
- Experience managing a high volume of emails and telephone calls
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Tech-savvy, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience studying, volunteering, or working outside the U.S., and/or experience working in a multicultural and/or multilingual environment
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
