(Contingent upon available funding):38,040.00 - 52,020.00, Salary Work Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm with one hour for lunch Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary:Coordinate correspondence and activities assisting international students, especially China Agricultural University joint program students, in their transition to Oklahoma State University. Collaborate with Global Studies and International Students and Scholars Offices to assist in applications, orientation, and development of international students. Assist with or teach departmental orientation and career development courses. Coordinate mentorship program for China Agricultural University students. Supervise CAU student mentors. Collaborate with Agricultural Economics faculty for international student programming. Assist with prospective student visits and activities (connect prospective students and their parents with appropriate departmental faculty members, assist departmental faculty members and advising coordinator with freshmen and transfer enrollment); plan and coordinate leadership development activities for students (including student clubs and academic teams); assist faculty and staff with recruitment, student life, retention and outreach activities (picnics, socials, cultural interactions); develop and coordinate recruitment displays for fairs, expositions, conventions and related activities; coordinate departmental tours for students; collaborate with college student development staff relative to college initiatives. Assist students with career exploration, planning and career search readiness activities (interview preparation, resumes); provide resources and assistance to students pursuing professional degrees; provide career assistance to alumni; develop appropriate career resources and materials; and collaborate with college and University Career Services staff relative to campus career development efforts. Assist with alumni reunions and banquets.About Us: The Department of Agricultural Economics teaches skills in business management, marketing/sales, finance, accounting, and economics related to agriculture and related industries. It also includes the field of community development which encompasses local leadership skills. Students learn how to analyze the big-picture issues related to agricultural, food or natural resource policies; rural or community development; or environmental and natural resource economics. Education & Experience Position Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's in Agricultural Economics or related field.

Should have one year of related professional work experience. Should include experience in career development and interaction with students.
Valid driver’s license.

Evidence of professional accomplishment, excellent communication and people skills and the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and clientele. Willingness to travel, including China, desired. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people to include students, staff, faculty and administration.
Preferred: Master's degree in Agricultural Economics or Agribusiness
