Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Medical Staff Coordinator (MSC) is responsible for direct oversight and administration of activities for the medical staff office including: compliance with all pertinent Federal and Regulatory standards, direct administrative oversight of medical staff office secretaries and Medical Staff office budget, administrative and operational support for the medical staff, its officers, the department chiefs, and the chairs of the standing medical staff committees.

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES:

Specific tasks include: The MSC is responsible for: facilitation and coordination of the process of appointment and reappointment to the medical staff; processing new applications to the medical staff; maintaining credentials files for all members of the medical staff; coordination of medical staff committee meetings; and supporting data needs of the Administration as related to the medical staff; coordination of orientation to new members of the medical staff; providing overall administrative support to the medical staff and its leadership, providing direct oversight of medical staff compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations (i.e. both implementing and operationalizing) and collaborating with Medical Staff leadership and Quality Management Department to insure compliance with current regulatory standards.

What qualifications you will need:

Situated in Portsmouth, NH, Portsmouth Regional Hospital is a premier 234-bed acute care facility that offers exceptional healthcare services to the Seacoast region of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. This hospital is the sole ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center on the Seacoast of New Hampshire, making it an essential resource for the community. It boasts the region's only comprehensive heart and vascular program, along with 24/7 comprehensive neurosurgical and stroke clot retrieval programs for both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes.
