Black Rock Bar Grill is an award-winning steakhouse specializing in steaks served on a 755 degree tabletop sizzling stone. This Rock Style Cooking creates a memorable dining experience making Black Rock the ideal restaurant for special occasions, as well as for everyday dining with friends and family.
We are Michigan's favorite steakhouse. We are opening new Black Rocks in many cities and about to expand into many states. We are currently accepting applications for the position of saute cook, grill, fry, salad, steak station, expo, and prep.

A Cook is responsible for tasks that include cooking and preparing food items to perfection. This position requires a sense of urgency and adaptability. She/he represents Black Rock Bar and Grill by providing service that exhibits professionalism, attention to detail, and the desire to create a positive environment. She/he will work directly with other Team Members to ensure that the guests visit exceeds their expectations.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Arrives to work on time (15 minutes early) as scheduled in full uniform
- Adheres to all service standards to indirectly create Black Rock Raving Fans.
- Fulfills all job responsibilities in order to contribute to a successful operation.
- Work directly with both BOH and FOH Team Members to ensure all of the guests needs are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Communicates positively with FOH and BOH Team Members to ensure all guest requests are accommodated
- Ensure menu knowledge to address any server or bartender questions about the menu, including food allergy issues
- Follows recipes; Upholds specs and perfect presentation of every dish
- Drives ticket times
- Proper food handling and sanitation of work areas; ensures compliance with food handling requirements
- Supports other stations and areas of the BOH as needed
- Communicate with fellow Team Members and management to keep one another informed
- Maintain neat and organized work areas; to include sweeping and mopping as needed
- Accomplishes all running and end of shift side work; including ensuring work areas are stocked and ready for the next scheduled Line Cook to take over
- Notifies management immediately of any potential problem
